The lw800 queue is the default queue if no queue is specified in your lpr
command.
The PostScript queues will accept most standard Adobe PostScript signified
by the first two characters of the file being "%!" or in the case of the
qlaser or tonto will convert text files using the ln03rof filter. See the
man entry for ln03rof.
To print to the qlaser printer in landscape mode use the landscape
(/usr/local/bin/landscape) command.
Some printers(e.g. lwr and slaser) have access permissions associated with
them. In this case you should get a message like:
slaser:
your host does not have line printer access.
from the lpstat command.
Problems with any Computer Centre printers listed above should be brought
to the attention of the HelpDesk via electronic mail to helpdesk or
phoning 815500.
See man entries for lpr, lpq, lprm , lpstat, hpplot for further information.
